Now THIS feels like classic Spider-Man.
Spidey swinging through New York with Black Cat wrapped around him while chaos unfolds below? That’s peak Marvel energy right there.
And honestly, Campbell’s Black Cat covers have become iconic in their own right over the years.
The city backdrop, the nighttime colors, the webs across the title logo, the vintage-inspired design layout… it all comes together beautifully. It feels modern while still carrying that old-school Spider-Man charm.
I also love how playful this cover feels compared to darker modern books. Spider-Man works best when there’s a mix of action, humor, romance and danger all at once — and this cover nails that vibe perfectly.
Chip Zdarsky’s run deserves a lot more respect too. He really brought Peter Parker back to feeling relatable again instead of just being trapped in nonstop crossover chaos.
And of course, landing a CGC 9.8 White Pages on a Campbell exclusive featuring Black Cat? That’s just a killer combination for the collection.
