One thing I really love about these Skybound anniversary books is how clean the sketch covers look once they’re slabbed. The linework becomes the star of the show.
This Clone cover feels chaotic in the best possible way — crowds running through the city, panic everywhere, and tiny background details that you keep spotting the longer you stare at it. It almost feels cinematic.
These anniversary editions flew under the radar for a lot of collectors, but they’re such cool time capsules from Skybound’s rise during the 2010s. Between The Walking Dead, Thief of Thieves, Birthright, and Clone, they were building a seriously strong creator-owned lineup.
And honestly? A wall of matching CGC 9.8 sketch covers from this set just looks incredible together.
