We are looking for a Project Buyer who will support Aero Norway's growth strategy!
The Project buyer is responsible for purchase of both new and used parts for all Aero Norway projects. The primary objective of this role is to manage all spare part vendors’ performance and be the day-to-day point of contact. Key responsibilities include monitoring vendors’ performance and spending, as well as evaluating requests created for smart procurement practices. The position requires close collaboration with internal customers and external suppliers to secure timely and efficient delivery of parts.
Job description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be a focal contact point for designated suppliers and responsible for status reports and to follow up deliveries.
- Liaise with engineering department to ensure that Service Bulletins are incorporated in our purchasing systems, effect on inventory and part configuration.
- Follow up on re-order points (ROP) and adjust accordingly
- Ensure correct price on purchase orders prior to receipt
- Track critical parts and evaluate for ROP
- Find alternative vendors when needed
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms
- Follow up on Status reports from vendors and reports internally
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience in purchasing/logistics within global industrial business; experience from aviation industry or markets will be an absolute advantage
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Relevant education, preferably at university level. Extensive experience or alternate education may compensate for educational demands
- Technical insight is considered an advantage
- Good understanding of economy and business processes
- Solid data knowledge, MS office and understanding of complex ERP systems
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
