Senior Advisor - Innovation
Do you have experience working with innovative and Mine Action products such as mine/UXO detectors, AUVs and AI/IM systems? Do you have technical knowledge of mines/EO and clearance techniques, including new developments? Then you may be the candidate we are looking for as our new Senior Advisor Innovation! The position is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing innovative methods and tools in the Mine Action and Disarmament work of NPA, covering all of the Mine Action and Disarmament portfolio.

A permanent position with office location in central Oslo.
5 weeks of vacation, flexible working hours and reduced working hours from 15 May to 15 September.
Four extra vacation days during the year.
Home office up to two days a week.
The possibility of one hour of exercise during working hours.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or 7+ years of relevant work experience.
Problem solving at a broad and complex level, with high demands on the use of methods, analytical skills and problem solving.
Can lead working groups and projects, contribute to training and capacity building internally.
Able to see the bigger picture in their field, highly analytical, competence in their field.
Experience in working with innovative and mine action products such as mine/UXO detectors, AUVs, AI/IM systems, etc.
Technical knowledge of mines/EO and clearance techniques, including new developments.
Experience in applying AI, GIS, and other digital technologies in mine action, with a strong ability to assess and implement technical innovations.
Good knowledge of IMAS and the land release principles in a Humanitarian Mine Action programmed.
Ability to develop, review and comply with security and technical SOP.
Experience from project planning.
Written and verbal proficiency in English; Norwegian is an advantage.
Responsibility
Independent role with responsibility for one or more disciplines or functions.
Developing and following up on strategic goals, preparing and implementing plans, guidelines, leading projects, and guiding and supporting other employees in the field
Contribute with suggestions for improvements, think strategically and contribute to achieving overall goals.
Respond to all enquiries to NPA related to innovative solutions to Mine action.
Represent NPA at all external conference, workshops and meetings related to innovation.
Provide programmes with information on innovative solutions being developed and how they may be suited to NPA programmes
Support programmes when they are approached by potential partners offering innovative solutions.
Provide the management with updates on innovation in the mine action sector.
Project manage Innovation Norway which includes drafting proposals and reports, financial management, and liaison with project donor and partners.
Oversee the full project cycle for the Innovation Norway project, including MEAL activities.
Ensure the timely submission of financial reports, activity reports, and donor correspondence in compliance with donor requirements.
Develop and implement a MEAL framework for all innovation projects, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into future planning and shared across the organization.
Collaborate closely with local stakeholders to ensure that innovation efforts are culturally appropriate, contextually relevant, and sustainable.
Hold meetings with any innovative partner or external stakeholder that is interested in Mine Action.
Support the drafting of SOP for innovative products resulting from innovation projects.
Attend the innovation conferences held by GICHD (and other sector relevant conferences or meetings)
Provide updates on innovation to programmes, linking innovation partners and country programmes where relevant
undefined.
