Do you want to lead the development of how we measure and communicate the impact of democratic education?
We are looking for a strategic and analytical MEAL Advisor to take the lead in our monitoring, evaluation, and learning work across Europe. At The European Wergeland Centre (EWC), you will play a key role in ensuring that our initiatives create lasting change by building a modern systems for knowledge development and evidence-based reporting.
In this role, you will lead the development of the EWC MEAL system and provide hands-on support to major projects, such as the Civic Education for Change project in Poland and the new European initiative "Skills for Democracy" (S4D)
Your Responsibilities
- Shape and develop further our MEAL system - including guidelines and tools needed to monitor progress, evaluate impact, and streamline reporting.
- Update and refine EWC's Theory of Change and Results Framework in line with our new strategy.
- Introduce and implement digital solutions for data collection and visualization to strengthen our data-driven insights.
- Design MEAL plans and conduct evaluations in close collaboration with project managers in Oslo and internationally.
- Ensure high-quality reporting to international donors and support Project Managers in communicating results and evidence.
- Lead internal training to foster a shared understanding of results and learning across the organization.
- Represent EWC in related MEAL networks both in Norway and at a European level.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant MEAL experience, preferably from international projects, NGOs, or the education/civic field.
- Solid experience with results frameworks, Theory of Change, and evaluations, including data collection and analysis.
- Strong methodological skills, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Excellent communication skills, especially regarding the communication of results and evidence.
- Experience with digital tools for data analysis, management, and visualization.
- Relevant higher education
- Excellent written and spoken English. Fluency in Norwegian is an asset
Some travel activity must be expected in connection with the position.
