â đ„ Harder-to-find Skybound anniversary collectible
One thing Iâve always loved about these Skybound 5th Anniversary sketch editions is how clean they look in slabbed 9.8s. The minimalist black-and-white line art really pops once theyâre encapsulated.
And honestly? Super Dinosaur was such a cool concept.
Youâve basically got a giant armored T-Rex loaded with weapons and tech running missions alongside a kid genius. Itâs the kind of comic idea that feels like someone mixed Saturday morning cartoons with Image Comics insanity and somehow made it work perfectly.
The sketch treatment works especially well here because Jason Howardâs line work gets a chance to shine without colors overpowering the design. You can really appreciate all the mechanical details in the armor and weapon systems.
Skyboundâs anniversary boxes produced some seriously underrated modern collectibles. A lot of these books disappeared into personal collections pretty quickly, especially in high grade.
And come on⊠weaponized cybernetic T-Rex. That alone deserves a spot in a collection.
