Ready to become the heart of our Bergen office?

Who we are…

We are a global marine geoscience and technology business. We are pioneers using ground-breaking technology to study what lies beneath the ocean floor. We help energy companies plan ahead, accelerating the responsible use of the planet’s resources.

We provide marine seismic data, imaging products and data processing software. Our teams combine advanced technology, scientific expertise and operational excellence to help our clients reduce exploration risk and make better decisions.

Ready to become the heart of our Bergen office?

We're looking for an Office Administrator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our offices operate smoothly, efficiently, and professionally.

As the first point of contact for employees, visitors, suppliers, and guests, you will help create a welcoming and productive workplace environment while supporting day-to-day office operations. In addition to coordinating office administration and facilities activities, you will provide support to senior management, visiting executives, and employees across our Norway locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in being highly organized, and thrives in a role where no two days are quite the same.

Technically speaking…

You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of our Bergen office while also providing remote administrative support to our Høvik office. Working closely with the Corporate Facilities Manager and internal stakeholders across the business, you will help ensure that employees have the support, resources, and environment they need to perform at their best.

The role also involves supporting senior management and visiting executives with administrative requirements, assisting with visitor management and reception duties when required, and contributing to employee engagement initiatives and workplace wellbeing activities

You will coordinate office activities, meetings and training events as well as manage office supplies and local purchasing. You will act as a key point of contact for external service providers. You will also, when required, arrange catering and logistics for internal events.

As part of the wider team, you may also support onboarding and offboarding activities, relocation arrangements, and travel coordination when needed.

In personal terms…

You are highly organized, approachable, and service-oriented, with a natural ability to build positive working relationships at all levels of the business.

You enjoy helping others, solving problems, and keeping multiple activities running smoothly at the same time. You are proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks independently, while also knowing when to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.

Most importantly, you take pride in creating a professional, welcoming, and efficient workplace experience for everyone you support.

What you'll need

  • Relevant education and/or significant relevant administrative experience.

  • At least 1-2 year of experience in office administration, office coordination, facilities support, or a similar role.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage priorities.

  • A structured approach and strong attention to detail.

  • Good written and spoken English skills.

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.

What does Shearwater offer you?

  • Competitive salary and benefits.

  • A varied and engaging role at the center of our Norway office operations.

  • The opportunity to work alongside colleagues from around the world.

  • A culture built on collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

  • The chance to contribute to a positive workplace experience for employees and visitors alike.

Curious? Perfect. We all have that in common.
