😈 SPIDER-MAN CLASSICS SERIES II — DAREDEVIL WITH DAREDEVIL #241
The Man Without Fear joins the Spider-Man Classics lineup.
This Toy Biz Spider-Man Classics Series II Daredevil comes packaged with a 32-page Daredevil #241 comic-book insert, along with a detailed church-themed collector display stand.
Matt Murdock has always been one of Marvel's more interesting street-level heroes. Blinded as a child by radioactive material, Matt lost his sight but gained extraordinarily heightened remaining senses and a radar-like perception of his surroundings. By day he's an attorney. By night, he's Daredevil, protecting Hell's Kitchen while routinely putting himself through more punishment than any sane person would tolerate.

Daredevil #241 comes from the Ann Nocenti/Barry Windsor-Smith era, with the issue originally published in 1987. It arrived shortly after Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's legendary Born Again storyline, during a period when Daredevil was rebuilding both his life and his identity.
I also love that Toy Biz gave Daredevil a place in a line carrying the Spider-Man Classics name. It makes perfect sense. Daredevil and Spider-Man have crossed paths countless times, and both are inseparably tied to the streets and rooftops of New York.
And like the other figures from this era, the articulation was a huge part of the appeal. Thirty points of articulation on a six-inch figure gave collectors the ability to actually pose Daredevil like Daredevil instead of having him stand there looking like he was waiting for a bus.
These early Toy Biz releases really were laying the groundwork for what eventually became Marvel Legends.
