🦏 SPIDER-MAN CLASSICS SERIES II — RHINO WITH AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #41
Here’s another great piece from the early Spider-Man Classics line, and this one pairs the figure with the comic that introduced the character.
This is the Series II Rhino, a massive 6-inch-scale figure packaged with a 32-page The Amazing Spider-Man #41 comic-book insert.
Originally published in 1966, Amazing Spider-Man #41 features the first appearance of Aleksei Sytsevich, the Rhino. Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., Rhino was introduced as a brutally powerful opponent whose experimental armor gave him tremendous strength and durability. He quickly became one of Spider-Man's most recognizable physical adversaries.
And this figure definitely looks the part.

I really like what Toy Biz did with these early Spider-Man Classics releases. Pairing the figures with comics tied directly to the characters gave collectors something beyond just another action figure—and in Rhino's case, including his actual debut issue was the perfect choice.
Rhino has spent decades charging headfirst into Spider-Man, Hulk and just about anyone unfortunate enough to get between him and his objective.
Sometimes you don't need an elaborate plan.
Sometimes you're a guy in a rhino suit and the plan is simply RUN THROUGH IT. 😂
