Toast is looking for chefs at Louise

Louise was the first restaurant on Aker Brygge. 40 years and a well-earned upgrade later, we reopened in April as a more intimate place with a whole new Nordic menu, developed with four of the world's most acclaimed chefs, all medalists at the Bocuse d'Or. It's built on clean, honest produce and solid craft, with no unnecessary processing.

The start has been strong, and now it's time to bring more chefs on board. We're looking for certified chefs (fagbrev) at all levels. As a small kitchen, we work closely together and share responsibilities across the team. That's why what matters most to us is how you work with others.

What we're looking for

  • A trade certificate (fagbrev) confirming your culinary education

  • Chefs at all levels — early in your career or more experienced

  • Someone curious, positive, reliable and keen to develop

  • An eye for detail and genuine care for the quality of the food

  • Committed to giving guests a great dining experience

  • A team player — we're a small kitchen, we help each other and share a lot of the responsibilities

  • Good communication skills

  • Cooperates well with the front-of-house team

  • Comfortable working at a high pace in a busy kitchen

Practical details

  • Full-time preferred, part-time may be possible

  • Start as soon as possible

  • We don't offer accommodation. You'll need to be based in Norway with a valid residence and work permit

About Toast

Alongside Louise, Toast runs Yokoso, Donna, Pastis, Lekter'n, Asia and Frenchie, each with its own kitchen and style. We also welcome applications directed at these concepts.

A hands-on, fast-paced working day as part of Toast, a larger group with several restaurants. That means real room to learn, grow and move between kitchens over time. Pay reflects qualifications and experience.
