Grand Hotel Oslo is seeking an experienced and structured Banquet Head Chef with overall responsibility for the hotel’s banquet operations and cold kitchen.

Grand Hotel’s banquet department delivers dining experiences for a wide range of events—from grand weddings and conferences to exclusive receptions and private dinners. We always strive to exceed our guests’ expectations through quality, creativity, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
As Banquet Head Chef, you will have overall responsibility for:
Daily operation and leadership of the banquet kitchen and cold kitchen
Planning and execution of conferences, banquets, and large-scale events
Staffing, scheduling, and daily follow-up of kitchen teams
Ensuring consistent quality in production, presentation, and delivery
Close collaboration with F&B management, service departments, and other kitchens
Compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and internal standards
Cost control, efficient use of resources, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Culinary qualification with proven leadership experience from hotels, banquets, or high-volume kitchens
Strong operational background in high-output and complex service environments
Clear, structured, and confident leadership style
Solid understanding of kitchen economics, staffing, and operations
Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and communication skills
