Joe Jusko absolutely crushed this cover.
It has that painted, chaotic, end-of-an-era energy that defined a lot of late 90s X-books. You can almost feel the desperation and power exploding off the page.
And honestly? The late 90s X-Men era has been getting more appreciation lately.
For years, collectors mainly chased the Bronze Age and early Claremont keys — but now people are revisiting these late 90s books because they were part of many fans’ childhoods and represent a very specific era of Marvel history.
This issue being a Giant-Sized Anniversary release also gives it that extra collectible feel.
The AnotherUniverse.com editions are fun little time capsules too. Back when online comic retailers were starting to become a real thing during the comic boom aftermath.
And in a CGC 9.8?
This thing presents beautifully.
