This book was a celebration of Spider-Man history done right.
Issue #600 felt huge when it dropped. Marvel packed it with oversized content, multiple creators and major character moments — but the thing I’ve always loved most about this variant is the cover itself.
Pure classic Spider-Man energy.
The Romita-inspired artwork feels like a tribute to decades of Spider-Man history all at once. Peter surrounded by the people who shaped his life, friendships, losses and responsibilities.
It feels nostalgic without trying too hard.
And honestly, milestone Spider-Man issues always carry weight with collectors.
#100, #200, #300, #400, #500, #600…
These are the books that mark entire eras of the character.
This one also came during a fascinating period in Spider-Man history where Marvel was heavily redefining Peter Parker after One More Day, and Dan Slott was beginning to become one of the defining modern Spidey writers.
