What I love about indie horror books is that they’re willing to get strange in ways the big publishers usually won’t.
And this cover? It absolutely nails that unsettling Lovecraft atmosphere.
A lone man walking toward a house that looks alive, armed with a chainsaw like he’s about to make the worst decision of his life. 😂 Meanwhile the building itself looks like it’s being consumed by something ancient and impossible.
That’s pure cosmic horror right there.
The muted colors, shadow-heavy art, and tentacle-infested nightmare imagery give this book a really cinematic feel. It almost looks like a horror movie poster from another dimension.
Books like this may not always get the same spotlight as major Marvel or DC keys, but indie horror collectors know how special these releases can be — especially in high grade.
And a CGC 9.8 giant-sized first issue is always a beautiful thing to have on the shelf.
