One thing I’ve always loved about Lady Death books is how they balance horror, fantasy, and dark beauty all at once.
This cover absolutely nails that atmosphere.
The pale contrast against the black background, the roses wrapped in thorned vines, and the Grim Reaper looming behind her gives this one a very gothic fairytale vibe. Ken Hunt really went all in on the mood here.
And honestly, modern Coffin Comics covers are some of the most display-worthy books out there. Whether you’re a hardcore Lady Death collector or just appreciate fantasy/horror artwork, books like this stand out immediately on a wall.
For collectors newer to the character:
Lady Death first exploded in popularity during the 1990s “bad girl” comic era, but she became much more than a gimmick character over time. The mythology around her world, her war against Hell, and her anti-hero evolution built a massive cult following that’s still going strong today.
Coffin Comics has done a solid job keeping that legacy alive while leaning heavily into high-end collectible variants and premium artwork.
And a clean CGC 9.8 on a modern black-heavy cover? Always appreciated. 🔥
