We are now looking to hire for the following position:
Geologist (Laboratory)
We are looking for a motivated Geologists to join our expanding Formation Damage laboratory department.
Work tasks:
Description of core material using various analytical techniques, including SEM, EDS, Thin section microscopy, binocular microscope, hand specimens, CT analysis etc.
Training with these techniques can be provided, some experience is preferred.
Perform work related to well fluid quality measurements (drilling and completion fluids).
Write technical reports clearly explaining experimental procedures and results.
Be proactive in QHSE and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform laboratory work for the energy sector on reservoir rock samples.
Conduct core flooding experiments using formation fluids under reservoir pressure and temperature conditions.
Process and analyze data using various systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Geology or Engineering is preferred.
Experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
Background in one or more of the following disciplines will be advantageous, but not a requirement: Petroleum engineering, geology, drilling and completion fluid engineering, automation, material science, chemistry, and/or laboratory operations.
Good knowledge of Windows Office.
