As an Applications Engineer at NOV Completion Tools, you will play a key role in delivering well completion projects from concept to completion. Working at the intersection of customers, technical experts and field operations, you will develop practical solutions, drive project execution and ensure every delivery is thoroughly planned, clearly documented and carried out safely.

Objectives

• Deliver well completion projects safely, on time and in accordance with customer requirements and NOV processes.

• Maintain clear technical documentation, work orders and project records throughout the project lifecycle.

• Build trusted customer relationships through proactive communication, sound technical advice and reliable follow-up.

• Identify risks, resolve technical and operational challenges early, and ensure effective coordination with field personnel and internal teams.

• Contribute to profitable growth through high-quality proposals, accurate forecasting and strong commercial awareness.

• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement in project delivery, processes and applications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own and coordinate well completion projects from initiation through to final delivery.

• Build customer relationships and provide technical and project support throughout the delivery.

• Evaluate well completion designs, operational considerations and customer requirements.

• Follow up with customers in morning meetings, risk reviews and planning meetings.

• Prepare and present technical proposals, schematics, operational procedures and other documentation.

• Ensure structured work orders and coordinate follow-up with relevant internal departments.

• Maintain close dialogue with field personnel during project execution.

• Maintain quotes, sales orders and proforma invoices in ERP and project management systems.

• Contribute to forecasts, tenders and other reports.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• A technical degree in petroleum engineering or another relevant discipline. Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.

• Extensive experience from offshore operations and project coordination within well construction, well completion or intervention.

• Strong project management skills, the ability to prioritize and a willingness to take ownership.

• A customer-oriented and commercial mindset, with understanding of technical requirements within drilling and wells.

• Strong teamwork skills, combined with the ability to work independently, take initiative and resolve challenges.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Norwegian and English.

• An interest in Completion Tools technology and how our solutions are applied in customer wells.

• An understanding of mechanical engineering principles and strong IT skills.
