Jefferson Wells is recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled PLC Software Engineer to support service activities, improvements and modifications on existing installations. We are looking for someone with solid PLC programming experience and strong problem‑solving skills. The assignment has a duration of 12 months with the possibility of extension. Start date is as soon as possible, and no later than 1 April. The position is located in Moss.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient and reliable PLC software
• Provide technical support and maintenance for existing installations
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues during operation, commissioning follow ups and service activities
• Perform modifications, updates and improvements to software in existing installations
• Support remote and on site service activities, including fault analysis and root cause investigations
• Collaborate closely with service engineers, commissioning teams and customers to ensure stable and reliable system performance
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including change descriptions, service reports and software release notes
• Participate in technical clarifications related to service scope, upgrades and modernization projects
• Perform testing and peer review of own and others software to ensure compliance with requirements and installed base standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes, tools and standard solutions

Background and Qualifications

• Higher technical education (minimum Bachelor) in Automation, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience within control systems engineering with emphasis on PLC programming
• Experience with Control Expert Classic (PLC) and VIJEO Designer (HMI) is required
• Proficient in PLC programming languages, especially FBD and STL
• Good knowledge of software architecture
• Strong understanding of hardware system design
• Experience with software testing and peer review
• Fluent English skills, both verbal and written
