🕷️ ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN VS. DOCTOR OCTOPUS — COLLECTIBLE STATUE!
Here's a pretty cool piece featuring one of Spider-Man's most iconic rivalries!
This Ultimate Spider-Man vs. Doctor Octopus statue captures Otto Octavius doing what he does best—making Peter Parker's life absolutely miserable.
Doctor Octopus stands firmly on the rubble-covered base, with his mechanical tentacles wrapped around Spider-Man, holding our favorite wall-crawler helplessly in the air.
I particularly like the contrast between the two characters. You've got Doc Ock looking completely confident, almost amused, while Spider-Man is caught in a rather unfortunate situation.
The sculpt also does a great job of bringing out that early Ultimate Spider-Man aesthetic, especially the character designs and Doc Ock's mechanical arms.
And for those who remember Marvel's Ultimate Universe when it first launched, this is a nice reminder of how much that series helped introduce Spider-Man to a new generation of readers.
Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley really delivered something special with the original Ultimate Spider-Man run, and collectibles like this bring back some great memories.
The statue comes with its original illustrated box, which is always a welcome bonus for collectors.
Definitely a fun addition for anyone collecting Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus or memorabilia from Marvel's original Ultimate Universe.
It's already prepped for shipping.
