Rheinmetall Nordic is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys solving practical engineering challenges and turning ideas into robust, manufacturable products.
This position is ideal for someone with broad mechanical engineering experience and strong materials knowledge who wants to work closely with product development, testing, and production. You will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle and contribute directly to delivering high-performance systems for the defence sector.
Your responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the development and improvement of advanced mechanical products and systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design and develop innovative mechanical products and assemblies
Evaluate materials, manufacturing methods, and engineering solutions
Create and maintain technical drawings and product documentation
Support prototyping, testing, verification, and product qualification
Collaborate closely with production, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
Drive continuous product improvements and contribute to new product development initiatives
Your qualifications
We are looking for a practical and versatile engineer with a passion for product development.
Preferred qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, design, and product development
Proficiency in 3D CAD software and experience with mechanical design of components and systems
Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and the full product lifecycle from development to maintenance
Experience from the defence industry or other highly regulated industries is an advantage
