The Project Manager – Internal Projects is responsible for planning and executing internal development, pilot and modification projects internal, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery in support of technology development and qualification.

The role ensure that project scope, priorities, and outcomes are aligned with technology and business needs. The Project Manager is responsible for mobilizing, coordinating, and following up support from internal resources and Projects, which provide project development and execution services without holding overall project responsibility.

Job responsibilities:

Owner-Side Project Management

•    Act as project manager on behalf of the company for internal development, pilot and larger modification projects

•    Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria aligned with technology and operational needs

•    Maintain overall responsibility for project delivery (scope, cost, schedule, quality)

Project Planning & Execution

•    Develop and manage project plans, including schedule, budget, and resource needs

•    Ensure structured execution from concept through completion and handover

•    Follow up progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions

Coordination of Resources & Projects

•    Identify and mobilize relevant internal resources to support project development and execution

•    Coordinate and manage interfaces with the company’s projects as a services provider (e.g. procurement, cost control, planning)

•    Define clear scopes of work and expectations towards companies projects and other support units

HSE & Compliance

•    Ensure all projects are executed in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

•    Identify, assess, and manage project risks, with strong focus on operational and technical safety

•    Ensure proper documentation, reviews, and approvals

Stakeholder Coordination

•    Coordinate closely with Technology Development, Process Engineering & Development, Test Facility Operations, and HSE manager

•    Align project activities with test programs, operational plans, and facility constraints

•    Act as key interface towards workshops, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Technical Implementation

•    Ensure translation of technical requirements into practical and robust solutions

•    Follow up design, installation, and modification work to ensure quality and functionality

•    Support commissioning and verification of implemented solutions

Continuous Improvement & Learning

•    Capture and transfer lessons learned across projects and development activities

•    Contribute to improving internal project models, governance, and tools

•    Support development of owner-side project execution capability

Your experience and qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field

•    5–10+ years of relevant experience in project management, engineering, or operations

•    Experience from industrial environments, preferably within process industry, pilot plants, or R&D facilities

•    Proven experience delivering projects where the role included coordination of multiple stakeholders and service providers

•    Experience working with (or within) project execution organizations (e.g. EPC, internal project units) is an advantage

Job Specifications:
