We are seeking an experienced Structural Lead Engineer to take ownership of structural engineering activities related to top-side equipment modules and packages for offshore Oil & Gas projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle—from studies and FEED through EPC execution, fabrication, testing, and installation—while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, clients, and certification bodies.

For this role we are looking for candidates located in Oslo or Bergen.

In this role, you will:  

• Act as the Structural Discipline Lead for topside equipment and modules.

• Independently execute structural engineering activities during studies, FEED, and EPC projects.

• Lead the design, specification, analysis, and technical follow-up of structural systems and offshore equipment.

• Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, calculations, and equipment manuals.

• Manage supplier and fabrication follow-up, including inspections and testing activities.

• Support Mechanical Completion, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and installation activities.

• Identify, manage, and clarify internal and external project interfaces.

• Participate in technical reviews, client meetings, supplier meetings, and multidiscipline project discussions.

• Support Supply Chain and Procurement teams during equipment purchasing processes.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and other engineering activities within the Topside Department. 

Key qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Relevant industry experience may compensate for formal educational requirements.

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, or related engineering industries.

• Proven experience in the design and specification of offshore structural equipment and modules.

• Strong understanding of relevant international codes, standards, and industry practices.

• It will be beneficial if you have experience with Teamcenter, calculation tools, CAD programs and ERP systems.

We are looking for someone who:  

Is capable of independently managing and delivering structural engineering activities throughout all project phases, from concept development to final installation. You possess strong technical knowledge of offshore structural design and relevant international standards, combined with a practical, solution-oriented approach to engineering challenges. You thrive in multidisciplinary project environments and are comfortable interacting with clients, suppliers, and certification bodies. Strong communication and people skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken, is required.
