Welcome to an exciting job opportunity at Meet Ullevaal (Ullevaal restaurantdrift / Fursetgruppen)

Meet Ullevaal (Ullevaal restaurantdrift) is part of Fursetgruppen one of Norway’s most unique meeting and conference centres. We have 37 meeting rooms, a large hall with space for up to 720 guests, 23 group rooms for smaller gatherings, and common areas designed for networking and informal meetings. In addition, we have a restaurant with capacity for 450 guests, and a total area of 10,000 square metres including meeting rooms, common areas and restaurant facilities.

Every year, we welcome approximately 110,000 guests – and now we are looking for a skilled Pastry Chef and an experienced Assistant Head Chef to join our kitchen team.

About the roles

As part of our kitchen team, you will contribute to creating high-quality food experiences for conferences, meetings, events and restaurant service. We are looking for people who enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment, take pride in their craft and want to be part of a professional and positive team.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise mise-en-place
  • Get your assigned station ready for service
  • Prepare dishes and products according to recipes and routines
  • Ensure high quality, consistency and presentation
  • Contribute to smooth daily operations in the kitchen
  • Keep your station clean and organised throughout the shift
  • Follow routines for cleaning, food safety and hygiene
  • Work closely with the rest of the kitchen and service team


For the Assistant Head Chef role, responsibilities will also include supporting the Head Chef in daily operations, planning, quality control and follow-up of the kitchen team.

For the Pastry Chef role, responsibilities will include producing cakes, desserts, pastries and other sweet products for meetings, events and restaurant service.


Requirements

  • Experience from a professional kitchen
  • Relevant experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Head Chef
  • Norwegian D-number or personal number
  • Good English skills
  • Responsible, reliable and dedicated
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Takes pride in quality, details and good routines
