This cover is peak “simple but effective.”
White background. Deadpool front and center. Giant hand in your face like he’s about to break the fourth wall before even opening the book. It’s exactly the kind of design that made these late-2000s Deadpool books stand out on comic shop walls.
And honestly, this whole period was wild for Deadpool collectors. Marvel kept throwing him into new titles, alternate realities, crossovers and absolute insanity… and somehow it all worked.
The Merc With A Mouth run especially leaned hard into the ridiculous side of the character, which is probably why it became such a fun cult favorite with Deadpool fans.
Also, Headpool showing up always makes me laugh. The fact Marvel created a zombie floating Deadpool head and people instantly accepted it tells you everything about this character’s fanbase. 😄
A 9.4 still presents beautifully, especially on these cleaner white-background covers where every flaw usually gets exposed instantly.
