Restaurant Palmen is one of the signature dining venues at Grand Hotel Oslo. Known for its classic elegance and high standards, Palmen offers guests a refined culinary experience built on quality ingredients, strong craftsmanship, creativity, and tradition. The restaurant serves both à la carte dining and exclusive meals for special occasions and events.
Your Main Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard in accordance with the restaurant’s concepts, menus, and quality expectations.
Work closely with the Head Chef and the wider kitchen team in daily operations and service.
Contribute to the development and implementation of new dishes, menus, and seasonal offerings.
Ensure that food safety, hygiene routines, and kitchen cleanliness are maintained at all times.
Support a positive and professional team culture through good communication and collaboration.
Help deliver a consistently high level of taste, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Has a minimum of 3 years of experience as a chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
Has solid knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and professional kitchen equipment.
Is passionate about food and quality, with strong attention to detail.
Works well both independently and as part of a team.
Is structured, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Holds a professional chef certificate; this is preferred but not essential.
Experience from higher-level gastronomic environments is considered an advantage.
