Senior Manager Adaptive Navigation, Situational Awareness & Maritime Autonomy, Product and development bridge systems

Kongsberg Maritime is growing and we want you to be part of our journey as Senior Manager for Adaptive Navigation, Situational Awareness & Maritime Autonomy. In this role, you will join our dynamic Product & Development team, delivering real-time situational awareness, dynamic decision support, and autonomy-driven capabilities to ensure safe navigation during operations, leveraging advanced sensory systems and advisory technologies.

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the development and strategy for real-time navigation, situational awareness, and autonomy systems offerings. This role focuses on tactical decision-making during voyages. You will work closely with internal teams particularly those dedicated to voyage pre-planning and communication infrastructure and customers to deliver products and integrated solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and autonomy readiness. Some traveling must be expected.

What you will be doing

• Build product and development strategy and roadmaps for existing radar-based monitoring products for collision avoidance and traffic assessment
• Explore opportunities to deliver value-added services for proactive detection and maneuvering strategies to prevent incidents
• Explore opportunities to deliver value-added services and partnerships to integrate data from multiple sensors for accurate, up-to-the-second operational awareness
• Continue development on intelligent advisory systems for immediate tactical decisions during navigation
• Explore opportunities to deliver value-added services and partnerships for improved predictive and adaptive guidance for complex scenarios
• Drive integration of autonomy features into situational awareness and navigation systems
• Structure layered offering across the product group in collaboration with others.
  
  

We think you should have

• Higher technical education within the maritime area or equivalent
• Experience in real-time navigation systems, radar technologies, collision avoidance, and autonomy solutions
• Strong understanding of sensory integration and operational advisory systems
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills and ability to work in a structured, independent, and proactive manner
