If there is one Wolverine story every collector should read at least once, itâs this one.
Before this series, Wolverine was primarily known as the wild, unpredictable member of the X-Men. Chris Claremont and Frank Miller completely changed that. They took Logan to Japan and transformed him into something far more complexâa warrior struggling between his animal nature and his desire to become an honorable man.
The result is one of the most important character-defining stories Marvel has ever published.
What makes these books especially fun for me is seeing them through the lens of another country. Published by Abril Jovem, these Brazilian Editions allowed an entirely different generation of readers to experience Wolverine's first solo adventure. The translated titles and localized presentation give them a unique identity while preserving the story that helped turn Wolverine into one of Marvel's biggest stars.
