Commercially Focused Legal Counsel Wanted for Global Energy Technology Leader

We are now looking for Legal Counsel at our site on Lysaker.

As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice and support across all business lines, with a primary focus on commercial contracting and client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the negotiation and execution of commercial transactions relating to the engineering, procurement, and manufacture of complex subsea oil and gas production systems.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and subcontracts.

• Providing guidance on contract management, change management, claims mitigation, dispute resolution, compliance, and corporate legal matters.

• Advising operational teams on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and the Company's Code of Conduct.

• Developing and delivering legal and compliance training programs.

• Supporting internal investigations and remediation initiatives.

• Collaborating with business leaders and support functions to identify and manage legal risks proactively.

• Developing, implementing, and updating legal procedures, guidelines, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a motivated legal professional with strong commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Law degree (Juris Doctor, master’s degree in law, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

• 4-6 years of relevant legal experience.

• Strong experience in commercial contracts, employment law, litigation, or a combination of these areas.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Qualification to practice law in Norway.

• Fluency in Norwegian and English.

• Previous in-house legal experience.

• Experience supporting industrial, engineering, energy, oil and gas, or manufacturing businesses.
