We are now looking to strengthen our Investment Team with an Investment Analyst to support our growing renewable energy portfolio. The Investment Analyst will join a lean and dynamic Investment Team which is responsible for deal screening, transaction execution, business case modelling, market analysis and benchmarking. The role will have significant exposure to Rein leadership team and its shareholders. This position will report to the Investment Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• develop and apply comprehensive financial models for renewable energy projects in different stages of maturity, including relevant sensitivities and scenario analysis
• overall responsibility for business cases and ongoing follow-up of project profitability, cash flow forecasts and liquidity requirements
• coordination with technical, commercial, tax, accounting and other relevant workstreams to ensure robust assumptions and appropriate capturing in valuation
• support in screening and analysis of new investment opportunities
• participate and assist in potential M&A, divestment or project financing processes
• prepare decision making material for key stakeholders
• other financial and strategy related tasks, such as internal management reporting, project benchmarking, market analysis, resources and levelized cost of energy (LCOE)

Qualifications:

• we are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of work experience from corporate finance/M&A, banking, transaction services, management consulting or similar relevant roles in the energy industry
• strong academic records, e.g. in business, finance or engineering
• you have a keen interest in the energy sector
• you have strong quantitative skills, an analytical mindset and experience in valuation, as well as building business cases and financial models
• experience with renewable energy and/or project finance is an advantage
• very strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• strong communication skills in both written and verbal English
