Hardware Test Engineer/Technician

Kongsberg Maritime and its Energy & Control business unit deliver world-leading automation solutions for process control and safety systems to oil and gas installations worldwide. We are in an exciting growth period and are looking for a dedicated HW Test Engineer to strengthen our dedicated team and who wants to be part of our journey ahead.

As a HW Test Engineer with us, you will be part of our dynamic team composed of different experience, expertise and age. We emphasize sharing knowledge and cultivating a work culture that not only facilitates the best possible well-being, but also promotes an efficient working day.

Your tasks will be related to assembly and connection, testing, and troubleshooting of new deliveries and upgrades of Kongsberg Maritime's equipment. You will also be involved in other tasks in the department such as training apprentices and new employees, developing and maintaining the department's internal documentation such as work instructions and checklists, as well as the department's process and improvement work.

Our products are mainly alarm management, motor control and rudder control systems.

We are looking for a person who is motivated to take responsibility for quality and efficiency in project implementation, focuses on good cooperation, competence sharing and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and installation of HW project deliveries.
• Distribution of networks and network tests in customer projects.
• Testing and debugging of HW and SW on our systems.
• Some electromechanical adaptation.
• Close collaboration and communication with project management.
• Further development of test documentation.
• Continuous improvement work.

Qualifications and experience

• Certificate in relevant subject areas such as electrical, automation and computer/electronics.
• Practical experience with technical installations.
• Experience with electromechanical work is an advantage.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written.
• General computer knowledge.
