Role Summary and Purpose

Thor Medical ASA is looking for a business-oriented, proactive and hands-on Head of Finance to take on a key role in the organization.

As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and development of the company’s finance function. You will work closely with the CFO and act as a trusted business partner across the organization, ensuring that among other things financial controlling, reporting, cash management, and internal controls to support the company’s continued growth.

This is a broad role with significant responsibility and autonomy. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, drives initiatives forward, identifies solutions before problems arise, and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate combines strong financial acumen with a practical mindset and enjoys working in a growing organization where flexibility and collaboration are essential.

The position reports directly to the CFO. Thor Medical is on a strong growth trajectory, offering opportunities for both professional and personal development as the company expands.

The role currently has no direct reports but carries responsibility for coordinating and managing several external partners across finance, accounting, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the company’s finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, accounting and payroll processes

• Manage and collaborate with external service providers within accounting, payroll, audit and other finance-related areas

• Lead the preparation of interim and annual financial statements and support the company’s obligations as a listed company on the Oslo Stock Exchange

• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and long-term financial planning

• Develop financial analyses, business cases and decision support for management and the Board

• Continuously improve financial processes, controls, systems and reporting structures

• Monitor key business metrics and work closely with operational teams to improve performance visibility

• Act as the primary internal owner of the company’s ERP and finance systems

• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability and digitalization across the organization

• Manage the external IT support vendor and support with ordering and inventory of IT equipment for employees coming onboard

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field

• Solid experience from finance, accounting, auditing, transaction services, controlling or similar roles

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles; IFRS experience is an advantage

• Experience from relevant manufacturing/production industries is an advantage

• Experience working with external service providers and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders

• Comfortable working with financial systems, ERP platforms and business applications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach

• Proactive, reliable and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Service-minded team player who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
