Lead Complex Defence Projects in an International Environment
Rheinmetall Nordic is growing – and we are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead complex development and production projects for customers in the international defence industry.
This is your opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced technology, where precision, innovation, and execution truly matter. You will own projects end-to-end in a highly dynamic environment, leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with customers and partners across borders.
What you’ll do
Take ownership of projects end-to-end, ensuring successful delivery from development through to customer acceptance and support
Act as the primary point of contact for customers and build strong and trusted relationships and ensuring alignment on project objectives, progress and delivery
Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production, supply chain, quality and finance to ensure successful project delivery
Drive execution, accountability, progress and stakeholder alignment in a matrix organization
Manage project budgets, forecasts, risks, and change processes
Ensure successful projects delivery against scope, schedule, cost and quality standards
Who you are
A confident and proactive leader who takes ownership, drives decisions and delivers results
Comfortable in a dynamic environment with varied and complex challenges
Structured, analytical, and commercially minded
Strong communicator, able to align stakeholders across functions
Technically oriented, with the ability to understand complex systems and products
Your background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant technical field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
Proven experience in managing projects within technical engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments
Experience from defence, aerospace, maritime or other regulated industries is a strong advantage
Certification in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Norwegian

Security Culture and Clearance
We maintain a strong security culture and work systematically to protect people, information and assets. As part of this, relevant candidates will be subject to background checks, and the successful candidate must be eligible for security clearance in accordance with applicable national regulations and industry requirements.
Location
The position is currently based in Nøtterøy, Vestfold, Norway. In summer 2026, the office will relocate to newly renovated facilities in Skoppum, also in Vestfold, just a short walk from the new train station, set to open in 2026.
