Sr. Commercial Analyst
Job Description
- We are looking for a highly analytical, proactive and self-driven Senior Commercial Analyst with strong communication skills and solid experience in energy markets to join the Gas & LNG Sales team within the Commercial department.
- In this role, you will report to the Gas Operations & Optimisation Manager and play a key part in providing robust commercial and market insight to support optimisation decisions.
- You will have a strong focus on gas, oil and LNG market developments, flexibility in kunde's gas sales portfolio and pricing trends, ensuring a strong foundation for optimisation decisions.
- Monitor and analyse gas, LNG and oil market developments and pricing trends to support optimisation activities and commercial decision-making.
- Provide regular market updates and insights to management, highlighting opportunities and implications for the portfolio.
- Take an active role in driving digital initiatives, including development of databases, analytical tools, and reporting solutions.
- Provide commercial and market support for gas sales discussions and contract negotiations.
- Support gas operations by balancing supply with sales and securing transport capacity.
Qualification Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Economics, Engineering, or similar.
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with solid digital skills; experience with APIs and data integration is an advantage.
- Proven experience from the oil and gas industry, preferably within commercial, trading, or market analysis roles.
- Highly proactive, self-driven, and structured, with strong attention to quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Power BI; programming or advanced analytics skills are an advantage.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to turn complex market data into clear insights and decisions.
- Proactive and self-driven, taking ownership and acting on opportunities without being prompted.
- Commercially minded, with strong attention to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
