Shape the market for advanced defence technology - own the market, understand the customer, drive the sale!
Rheinmetall Nordic (RhN) is a key and growing provider of high-technology solutions within defence and law enforcement. We are now looking for a Sales Director to take ownership of defined customers and regions, driving international market development and the commercial positioning of our solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of market, customer and technology, and who will act as a key commercial driving force in developing markets, building strong customer relationships and positioning selected product areas internationally, in close collaboration with technical teams and the Rheinmetall Group.
Your Key Responsibilities
Own defined customers and regions, with responsibility for commercial development of selected product areas
Develop and drive international sales of advanced defence solutions
Build and strengthen long-term customer relationships and strategic partnerships
Identify market opportunities and translate them into concrete sales initiatives
Develop and execute targeted market and sales strategies
Lead customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations and tender processes
Contribute to pricing, contract and commercial negotiations
Collaborate closely with engineering, program, production and quality teams
Represent Rheinmetall Nordic and the Rheinmetall Group at key events and forums
What We Are Looking For
A Master’s degree in a relevant field (Bachelor’s degree may be considered with strong experience)
Proven experience in sales, customer ownership or business development within defence, security or similarly complex markets
Solid commercial and contractual understanding
International experience and cross-cultural collaboration skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English

Location
The position is currently based in Nøtterøy, Vestfold, Norway. In summer 2026, the office will relocate to newly renovated facilities in Skoppum, also in Vestfold, just a short walk from the new train station, set to open in August 2026.
