Senior Engineering & Product Manager - CWI

Interwell is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Engineering & Product Manager to lead our R&D and Product Engineering teams within the Completions & Wellhead Integrity (CWI) business line.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for leading multidisciplinary R&D and Product Engineering teams, including leadership of engineering managers and technical advisors across multiple locations. The position combines organizational leadership, engineering execution, and product development in a technology-driven and international environment.

Main Activities & Responsibilities:

• Lead multidisciplinary R&D and Product teams (~36 engineers) based at Interwell’s state-of-the-art technology centers in Stavanger and Voss

• Be the personnel and group leader for engineering managers and technical advisors, with responsibility for project deliveries, and cost control

• Drive engineering execution and delivery of R&D and sustaining projects from concept design through prototyping, testing and pilot implementation

• Support global sales and operations teams through effective engineering coordination, technical follow-up, and stakeholder communication across the CWI business line

• Accountable for technical oversight and decision-making related to design gates, Non-conformances (NCR) follow-up, and all product-related activities.

• Lead competence development, succession planning, and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering organization

• Drive engineering quality, governance, and compliance with internal processes and relevant certifications (API, ISO, ATEX & IEC)

Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or another technical discipline

• 8+ years of experience within the oil and gas industry, including experience in product design and development

• Several years of leadership experience within engineering environments, including budget and personnel responsibility

• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in spoken and written English

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on business
