So – what are your skills?
Duties and responsibilities
Are you enthusiastic about engineering and curios about shipbuilding?
Join us and you will play an important role in the development of machinery systems and ship systems. In this role, you will work and collaborate both with the Machinery team in Vard Design & Engineering, and cross-functional teams to design complex ships of tomorrow.
- Equipment integration - ensure seamless interaction between system and components
- Design of ship systems and machinery systems in line with scope, standards and operational requirements
- Collaboration internally and engage with clients and suppliers
- Contribute to department improvements and process development
- Project coordination and/or execution to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery
Qualifications
- Bsc or Msc Ship Design / Mechanical Engineer
- Good knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge in English language, both oral and written
- At least 5-6 years of relevant work experience
- Experienced in rules and regulations related to ship design and ship building
