Are you our next Mechanical Designer?

We are looking to strengthen the Marine Operations group at APL Norway AS, which currently consists of 14 skilled engineers and offshore specialists. Our team plays a key role in supporting APL’s major projects by providing installation expertise during engineering phases, supervising offshore activities, and executing a wide range of service assignments and problem-solving tasks for our clients.

The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical designer who will contribute to both engineering and operational aspects of our work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design support to APL’s service projects, with a focus on installation methodology and practical execution.

• Prepare and update 3D models, drawings, and documentation using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

• Participate in engineering reviews and propose practical, installation-focused solutions.

• Support offshore operations when required, including supervision and follow-up during installation or service work.

• Contribute to troubleshooting, improvement initiatives, and various service projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable

• Solid experience as a mechanical designer.

• Proficient in Inventor and AutoCAD.

• Understanding of installation and operational aspects of mechanical systems is an advantage.

• Willingness to participate in occasional offshore work.

• Structured, solution-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Good communication skills in English and Norwegian.
