About KSAT Hyper
Hyper is a strategic initiative by Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) to redefine how space data is delivered, secured, and used. By extending the world's most trusted ground station network into low Earth orbit, Hyper is building a new layer of space infrastructure designed for speed, resilience, and sovereignty.
At its core, Hyper enables near-real-time access to space data anywhere on Earth. By combining an orbiting relay capability with KSAT's global ground network, Hyper drastically reduces latency between satellite tasking, data acquisition, and decision-making. This capability is increasingly critical for applications where timing, trust, and availability matter — including Earth observation, climate monitoring, security, defense, and commercial operations.
Hyper is not a single mission or a one-off system. It is a long-term infrastructure program designed to scale over time, support multiple customers and mission types, and integrate tightly with existing and future space systems. The first Hyper satellites are scheduled for launch in 2027, marking the transition from development to operations, and the starting point for a broader constellation and service evolution in the years that follow.
Joining Hyper means contributing to the early build-out of a strategically important space capability, working at the intersection of space systems, communications, and operations. The work is foundational, technically demanding, and mission-critical; it directly shapes how satellite services will be delivered at scale in the next decade.

About Replica
Replica is our mission analysis and orchestration platform. We build backend services and simulation workloads that must be reliable, observable, and secure—supporting both internal operations and customer-facing capabilities.
What you will do
Own reliability and operability for Replica's services and environments across development, test, and production.
Design, operate, and evolve our Kubernetes platform: cluster configuration, upgrades, capacity planning, workload patterns, and security posture.
Build and maintain CI/CD toolchains and deployment workflows (progressive delivery, environment promotion, automated quality gates).
Implement and standardize observability practices: metrics, logs, distributed tracing, alerting, SLOs/SLIs, and incident workflows.
Partner with engineering to improve resilience: failure-mode analysis, runbooks, on-call practices, chaos/resiliency testing where appropriate.
Operate and support key data stores and stateful services, including PostgreSQL: backups/restores, upgrades, performance tuning, and access controls.
Drive improvements in infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, secrets management, and operational documentation.
What we are looking for
Proven experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD toolchains and release processes.
Experience with database administration, ideally PostgreSQL (operations, performance, backup/restore, migrations).
Practical experience implementing distributed tracing and broader observability patterns (OpenTelemetry-style instrumentation, correlation across services, actionable alerting).
Strong understanding of reliability engineering: SLOs, error budgets, incident response, and continuous improvement.
A collaborative mindset: you work well with developers, help set standards, and raise the operational maturity of the team.
Nice to have
Experience with GitOps and progressive delivery patterns (e.g., canary/blue-green).
Experience running stateful workloads on Kubernetes and managing persistent storage patterns.
Security engineering experience (hardening, vulnerability management, supply-chain controls).
Familiarity with Rust and/or Python service ecosystems (helpful for instrumentation and operational collaboration).
