About KSAT Hyper
Hyper is a strategic initiative by Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) to redefine how space data is delivered, secured, and used. By extending the world's most trusted ground station network into low Earth orbit, Hyper is building a new layer of space infrastructure designed for speed, resilience, and sovereignty.

At its core, Hyper enables near-real-time access to space data anywhere on Earth. By combining an orbiting relay capability with KSAT's global ground network, Hyper drastically reduces latency between satellite tasking, data acquisition, and decision-making. This capability is increasingly critical for applications where timing, trust, and availability matter — including Earth observation, climate monitoring, security, defense, and commercial operations.

Hyper is not a single mission or a one-off system. It is a long-term infrastructure program designed to scale over time, support multiple customers and mission types, and integrate tightly with existing and future space systems. The first Hyper satellites are scheduled for launch in 2027, marking the transition from development to operations, and the starting point for a broader constellation and service evolution in the years that follow.

Joining Hyper means contributing to the early build-out of a strategically important space capability, working at the intersection of space systems, communications, and operations. The work is foundational, technically demanding, and mission-critical; it directly shapes how satellite services will be delivered at scale in the next decade.

Role Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of a defined technology development initiative within Hyper. The role owns planning, coordination, delivery tracking, and cross-functional alignment across technical teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring progress from early requirements through design readiness and delivery.

The position operates with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining close alignment with Hyper leadership and KSAT's broader strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Planning

• Own the integrated project plan, schedule, milestones, and delivery tracking

• Manage dependencies, risks, and mitigation actions across the project lifecycle

• Ensure alignment between technical scope, schedule, and available resources

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate inputs across payload, systems, software, ground segment, and commercial teams

• Act as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners

• Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to track progress and resolve blockers

Reviews, Reporting & Governance

• Drive progress toward major reviews (e.g. SRR, architecture baseline, PDR readiness)

• Maintain project documentation and ensure consistency across deliverables

• Report status, risks, and decisions to the General Manager and internal stakeholders

Compliance & External Interfaces

• Coordinate with KSAT legal, compliance, and security functions on export control and regulatory aspects

• Support reporting obligations toward institutional or public partners, when applicable

Required Qualifications

• European citizenship and eligibility for NATO Secret clearance

• 5+ years of experience managing complex technical or space-related projects

• Familiarity with space mission development lifecycles (Phases A-C)

• Strong planning, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills

• Degree in engineering or equivalent technical background
