InterMoor - Mobile Mooring Solution Manager
InterMoor are looking to hire a Mobile Mooring Solution Manager on a full-time permanent basis. Based at their facility in Stavanger, The Centre of Excellence (CoE) Mobile Mooring Solution Manager is responsible for global fleet management, ensuring optimal allocation of assets based on market analysis, demand, and maximizing return on investment. This role will oversee capital expenditure decisions, define fleet inspection and maintenance criteria and global pricing strategies, and leads a high-performing CoE team. Additionally, the CoE Manager will collaborate with regional rental operations leads to align strategies and operational execution.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
Fleet Management & Strategy:
•Manage the global fleet of mooring equipment, ensuring optimal utilisation and deployment.
•Personnel responsibility for the team
•Conduct market analysis to determine fleet allocation based on demand, pricing trends, and highest return potential.
•Define and oversee global fleet inspection criteria, maintenance standards, and compliance with industry regulations.
•Develop and implement global fleet allocation strategies in coordination with regional teams.
Operational & Team Leadership:
•Lead and manage the CoE team
•Provide strategic direction and performance oversight to regional rental operations leads (dotted-line reporting), ensuring alignment with CoE policies.
•Collaborate with Regional General Managers to balance local operational needs with global fleet management strategies.
Process & Standards Development:
•Establish and enforce fleet inspection and maintenance criteria to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise fleet utilisation, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency.
•Develop standardised operational procedures and best practices across all regional hubs.
Financial & Commercial Management:
•Define and maintain global pricing strategies for equipment rental to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.
•Oversee capital expenditure planning for fleet expansion, refurbishment, and renewal programs.
•Ensure cost-effective utilisation of fleet assets while maximizing return on investment.
Required
•Knowledge of mooring equipment, offshore/marine operations, or related industry
•Experience in planning, strategy, and operational leadership
•Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field desirable
•Experience in fleet management, equipment rental, logistics, or asset management in a global setting would be an advantage
•Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis and fleet optimisation.
•Commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy and capital expenditure planning.
•Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams, including remote and part-time staff.
•Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple regions and stakeholders.
•Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
•Leads by example and demonstrates honesty and integrity.
•Holds oneself and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely and cost-effective results
