Assistant Rig Manager

In this pivotal role, you will provide drilling expertise and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible rig operations, while delivering exceptional results for our customers. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist Rig Manager in running the rig and business in accordance with contracts and client demands. 

• Liaise with offshore leadership, operator’s onshore representatives, and onshore support staff. 

• Execute drilling and core business with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. 

• Foster a “safety-is-a-value” culture and promote continuous improvement. 

• Assist with budget preparation and cost control.

• Monitor supervision standards and employee performance. 

• Expedite equipment repairs, returns, and certification compliance. 

• Facilitate audits and rig inspections to uphold operational standards. 

• Support development and training of senior offshore team members. 

• Ensure regulatory and HSE compliance. 

Qualifications 

• Experience in role or minimum 5 years’ experience from offshore drilling, Assistant Driller, or higher position.

• Strong management and leadership skills in operations. 

• Solid knowledge of offshore drilling systems and HSE practices. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to work with diverse teams and resolve conflicts. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
