Tranby Technology Centre is looking for a new Manager in our Strategic Planning department.

What will you be doing? 

Responsible for overall manufacturing slot plan

• Coordinate priorities internally and towards projects to ensure all client expectations are met

• Plan and control the delivery of parts and products

• Full overview and control of short- and long-term planning

• Actively adjust capacity and schedules when required

• Responsible for on-time delivery of production orders

• Secure on-time start of production by assuring that all prerequisites are in place

Day-to-day management and operation of the planning department 

• Personnel management and development

• Budgeting and follow up on department spending with regards to agreed budget

• Responsible for utilizing capacity and resources in the planning department

Sales and commercial focus

• Responsible for planning Tranby industrial sales projects to meet specified quality, time and cost

• Contribute to building and sustaining a commercial culture in the team and the whole organization

Planning process and improvements

• Work actively with continuous improvement to ensure bets possible execution related to hourly spend and lead time

• Define and follow up KPI-targets for Tranby manufacturing and own area and actively drive performance culture

• Prepare workload graphs, manufacturing schedules and other reports as per need

Actively interface with all relevant stakeholders to ensure all demands are met and part of a well-balanced plan

• Tranby manufacturing management team, team leaders, project and production planners, project managers, project engineering, project test managers, supply chain and other disciplines at Tranby Technology Centre

We think you should have: 

• Experience with planning in manufacturing or project environment 

• Experience with project, risk & change management – good commercial understanding

• Excellent diplomatic and communication skills

• Cross-cultural understanding

• Proven results in building and leading a department / team

• Knowledge of LEAN and world class manufacturing 

• Fluent in English and Norwegian

• Set clear directions while also being flexible and able to quickly adjust when required

• Ability to take a “balcony view” to match clients’ expectations with internal capacity and capability

• Motivate others and be a role model through work ethics, positivity and own efforts

• Work actively to create a safe and productive working environment together with your own employees and with internal customers/departments

• Be a bridge builder internally towards other departments and stakeholders, contributing to professionalism and striving to always improve

• Work actively and strategically to contribute to increased growth at Tranby, in line with the segment's growth strategy of 700% in 7 years
