Financial Manager Wanted for Kratos Norway
We are looking for an experienced and independent Financial Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management, accounting and reporting of our Norwegian entity. The role requires solid practical experience with Norwegian financial processes and regulatory requirements, including payroll, accounting, tax, VAT and statutory reporting.
The Financial Manager will work closely with the General Manager in Norway and our corporate finance organization in the US, while taking local ownership of Norwegian financial and statutory requirements. The role will also work closely with external auditors and advisors in Norway.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee day-to-day financial and accounting activities for the Norwegian entity.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice control, approval processes and payments.
Manage liquidity and cash flow, including short- and medium-term cash planning.
Manage monthly payroll and related reporting, including pensions, benefits and statutory obligations.
Perform and coordinate monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing activities.
Prepare financial reports and provide required financial information to the General Manager and corporate finance organization.
Act as the primary finance contact for the corporate finance organization in the US, providing support, documentation and clarification as required.
Coordinate Norwegian statutory accounting, tax and VAT-related activities and reporting.
Coordinate annual statutory accounts and the audit process in collaboration with external auditors and advisors.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
Monitor financial performance and provide relevant analysis and financial insight to the General Manager.
Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of relevant corporate, statutory and Board-related documentation as required.
Maintain appropriate financial controls, reconciliations and documentation, and support continuous improvement of financial processes and routines
Ensure compliance with applicable Norwegian accounting, tax and financial reporting requirements as well as relevant corporate policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone with:
Relevant higher education in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
Solid experience within accounting, financial controlling or financial management in Norway.
Documented hands-on experience with Norwegian payroll, including A-melding, pensions, benefits and related statutory obligations.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Norwegian accounting, tax, VAT and statutory reporting requirements.
Experience with monthly and annual closing processes in a Norwegian company.
Experience with Norwegian annual accounts and working with auditors and external accounting or financial advisors.
Good digital skills and experience with accounting/ERP and financial reporting systems.
Experience from an international company or working with an international corporate finance organization is an advantage.
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage
Professional working proficiency in both Norwegian and English.

The Role
The core responsibilities of the Finance Manager represent a part-time workload. The position can be structured as a part-time Finance Manager position with an employment percentage adapted to the right candidate, or as a broader position combining the Finance Manager responsibilities with other relevant areas of responsibility within the organization. Together with the right candidate, we will shape the setup based on their experience, profile and interests.
The role offers flexibility in how working time is organized, while taking into account recurring activities such as payroll, financial closing and reporting deadlines.
