Lead Engineer

We are recruiting a Lead Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading company within the energy sector.

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Lead Engineer to take a key role in leading an engineering team and contributing to the development of innovative, reliable and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the engineering team in their day-to-day work

• Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team environment

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues, management and customers

• Develop mechanical designs from concept through to production

• Solve complex engineering challenges across disciplines

• Support the professional development and mentoring of engineers

• Contribute to the development of innovative products and processes

• Ensure solutions meet customer requirements, quality standards and company objectives

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of practical engineering experience, preferably from the energy sector

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent; master’s degree is an advantage

• Strong mechanical design and analytical skills

• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, preferably ASME Section VIII and API

• Experience with Mathcad is an advantage

• Knowledge of ANSYS non-linear analysis and APDL scripting is preferred

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with Connector’s Group products and services is an advantage
