We're looking for a skilled Purchaser to power our growth

Omega Subsea is growing, with increasing procurement activity across our Subsea, ROV, Survey and Tooling operations.

To ensure effective follow-up of projects, suppliers and internal requirements, we are now looking to strengthen our procurement function.

We are therefore seeking a structured and solutions-focused Purchaser to support the day-to-day execution and follow-up of procurement activities.

In this role, you will work closely with the Procurement Coordinator, project teams, technical departments, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams, while becoming part of a highly skilled international team that collaborates across multiple locations, including our UK office.

You will help ensure that goods, equipment, spare parts and services are procured on time, to the required quality and on competitive terms, while maintaining effective supplier follow-up, documentation and cost control.

The position is based at Kronstadparken, in modern, high-quality offices in one of Bergen's most attractive business districts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and follow up purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system.

  • Obtain quotations, lead times and commercial terms from suppliers.

  • Follow up order confirmations, delivery dates and time-critical deliveries.

  • Coordinate procurement requirements with project and operational departments, warehouse, logistics and finance.

  • Ensure accurate documentation, coding, receipt of goods and supporting documentation for invoicing.

  • Follow up with suppliers and resolve discrepancies related to deliveries, pricing and documentation.

  • Contribute to effective cost control and maintain an overview of open purchase orders.

  • Support the implementation and use of new procurement systems and procedures.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of efficient and standardised procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement, logistics, order processing or supplier follow-up is preferred.

  • Experience within the subsea, offshore, marine or other technical and project-based industries is an advantage.

  • Relevant education in procurement, logistics, supply chain, administration or a related field is preferred.

  • Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.

  • Good systems understanding and experience with ERP and procurement systems.

  • Good Excel skills are an advantage.

  • Technical understanding and familiarity with the procurement process, from identifying a requirement and placing an order through to delivery, receipt of goods and invoicing, is an advantage.

  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written.

Personal qualities

  • Structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Positive, proactive and solutions-focused.

  • Efficient and comfortable working with time-critical deliveries.

  • Service-minded and clear in communication with both colleagues and suppliers.

  • Systematic, with a strong focus on quality and accurate documentation.

  • Adaptable and motivated to learn and develop.

  • A team player who contributes to effective collaboration across the organisation.

Why work at Omega Subsea

  • Help develop and strengthen the procurement function in a rapidly growing company.

  • Take on a varied and hands-on role closely connected to our subsea and offshore projects.

  • Benefit from excellent opportunities for professional development within procurement, supplier management and procurement systems.

  • Become part of a skilled and friendly working environment with short decision-making processes.

  • Enjoy varied working days with a high degree of collaboration and practical problem-solving.
