Are you our new HVAC Engineering Manager?

About the position

Novenco AS, the Norwegian entity of the Novenco Marine & Offshore group, is looking for an experienced HVAC Engineering Manager to lead and develop our HVAC Engineering Department of 11 engineers. The working location is at Novenco AS, Trollåsen, Norway. Occasional international travel is required. The position reports to the Managing Director of Novenco AS, and is a member of the Leadership Team.

This is a leadership role with responsibility for people, performance, and competence development. You will drive the delivery and continuous development of competitive HVAC solutions and products aligned with our business goals, while building the engineering capabilities needed to support growth in offshore, defence, marine, and future nuclear and data center markets.

We are looking for a leader with strong people management experience, relevant education, and solid HVAC engineering and product expertise from industries similar to Novenco. The role includes participation in Novenco Marine & Offshore's technical committees, collaborating with colleagues across Norway, Denmark, and China to continuously improve group performance.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the HVAC Engineering Department and its people

• Build HVAC engineering and product competences to support current and future markets

• Ensure competitive, efficient and customer-focused HVAC engineering and product deliverables aligned with our strategy and business goals

• Participate in Novenco Marine & Offshore’s technical committees as found relevant

Qualifications:

• Relevant formal education, e.g. Bachelor's/Master's degree

• Proven experience leading technical teams within marine, offshore, defence or related industries

• Strong HVAC engineering and product competences

• Experience delivering engineering work in project-based organizations

• Commercial understanding

• Experience from international and multidisciplinary environments is an advantage

• Fluent English, both written and spoken
