We are looking for an experienced leader who wants to contribute to Elkem's long-term business performance by strengthening our technology development, operational excellence, project execution, as well as our R&D and HSE work. Also, global raw material sourcing and procurement are currently under this function's responsibility.

As our new SVP Technology, you will lead Elkem's global Technology function and further develop the necessary capabilities required to support Elkem's strategy execution. You will provide technical leadership across the company, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that Elkem develops and deploys the expertise and capabilities required to deliver safe, sustainable, and profitable operations and growth.

Main areas of responsibility

• Lead Elkem Technology as a global function, developing high-performing teams.
• Develop and execute Elkem's technology strategy in support of safe, sustainable and competitive operations globally.
• Drive HSE, operational excellence, technology deployment, raw materials optimisation, sustainability and climate-related initiatives.
• Manage Elkem's corporate R&D portfolio and strengthen the company's competitive advantage through intellectual property.
• Govern Elkem's CAPEX project portfolio and drive successful project delivery.
• Support business development initiatives and help plants and units develop the technical and operational resources needed for future performance and growth.

Qualifications required for the position

• Extensive leadership experience from international industrial companies, with hands-on experience from operations and/or projects.
• Proven track record of driving technology strategy, innovation and operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical and process industries, including production processes, asset management and industrial technology.
• Experience with large investment projects, cross-functional improvement programmes, procurement, contract management and commercial processes.
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline, such as metallurgy, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar.
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is considered an advantage.
