The opportunity
On behalf of an established industry leader, we are looking for a hands on project leader to take a key role in the delivery of a large scale hyperscale data center project in the Narvik region.

This role sits at the heart of project execution. You will help lead the delivery from construction through commissioning and handover, working closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants, discipline leads, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

You will be expected to understand the big picture but also care about the details that decide whether a project succeeds: schedule, quality, safety, cost, interfaces, reporting, risk, recovery plans, and the daily rhythm of site execution.
In short: you make things happen.

Important: this role is on site in Narvik
Let's be very clear.

• This role requires full on-site presence in Narvik, Northern Norway.
• Remote work is not possible.
• Hybrid work is not possible.
• Rotation is not possible for this project.
• The person we are looking for must be willing and able to be based locally and be physically present on site. This is a build phase leadership role, and the project needs someone who is visible, available, and close to the people doing the work.
• If you are willing to relocate to Narvik or are already based in the region, excellent.
• If you are only looking for a remote, advisory, or rotation based role, this will not be the right fit.

What you will do

• You will play a senior role in leading the planning, coordination, and execution of a complex hyperscale data center construction project.
• Your responsibilities may include:
• Lead project delivery across construction, technical coordination, commissioning readiness, and handover.
• Drive progress on site and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
• Manage scope, schedule, quality, cost awareness, risks, dependencies, and key project milestones.
• Coordinate closely with discipline leads across MEP, CSA, electrical, mechanical, automation/BMS, commissioning, commercial, HSE, and operations.
• Work with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to remove blockers and keep the project moving.
• Lead and participate in project meetings, progress reviews, risk reviews, and recovery planning.
• Identify delays early and push practical solutions before issues become expensive problems.
• Ensure strong communication between site teams, leadership, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support design reviews, change management, documentation control, technical clarifications, and construction interfaces.
• Build a strong culture around safety, quality, accountability, and delivery discipline.
• Help create a project environment where people know what needs to happen, who owns it, and when it must be done.

This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do.
This is a role for someone who sees the gap, takes ownership, and gets the right people around the table.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a strong, hands on project leader with experience from large, technical, high pressure construction or infrastructure environments.
You may already be a Senior Project Manager, Project Director, Construction Manager, Delivery Lead, Project Executive, or similar.
Your background may come from:

• Hyperscale data centers
• Mission-critical facilities
• Large-scale infrastructure
• Industrial construction
• Energy or power projects
• Oil & gas / offshore
• Pharma, hospitals, aviation, defense, or other complex technical builds
• EPC, design build, or major capital project environments

Experience from data centers, hyperscale facilities, mission critical infrastructure, or large technical construction projects is highly attractive.

But we are not going to reduce your career to a number of years.
We care more about what you have delivered, what you have owned, and how you lead when the pressure is on.

Must haves
To succeed in this role, you need:

• Proven experience leading or managing complex construction, infrastructure, or technical delivery projects.
• Strong understanding of construction execution, site coordination, schedules, risk, quality, and project controls.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and delivery awareness you understand how decisions affect time, cost, quality, and risk.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge, align, and drive action.
• Professional fluency in English written and spoken.
• Willingness and ability to work on site in Narvik for the project. No remote work. No rotation.
• A practical, solution oriented leadership style.
• Strong focus on HSE, quality, documentation, and delivery discipline.

Nice to haves
These are not strict requirements, but they will make you stand out:

• Experience from hyperscale data centers or mission critical facilities.
• Experience with MEP heavy projects, commissioning, technical handover, or complex interface management.
• Background in electrical, mechanical, CSA, automation/BMS, power systems, or construction management.
• Experience with project tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, BIM platforms, or similar.
• Degree or technical education in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
• Norwegian language skills.

Again: these are advantages, not automatic dealbreakers.
