Indie Kickstarter books are honestly one of the wildest corners of modern comic collecting. You never really know which books will disappear into obscurity and which ones will end up becoming cult collector pieces years later.
This one definitely leans into that pin-up/artbook style aesthetic that exploded on Kickstarter during the 2010s, and the pastel color palette gives it a surprisingly soft look compared to a lot of darker indie covers from that era.
The green CGC Qualified label also makes it stand out immediately in the collection. Some collectors avoid qualified slabs, others specifically chase signed or remarked indie books because they feel more personal and creator-connected. I’ve always found them interesting conversation pieces.
And honestly, Kickstarter exclusives are fascinating because print runs were often tiny compared to mainstream books. Once they’re gone, tracking them down later can become surprisingly difficult.
One thing’s for sure — this book definitely grabs attention on the shelf. 😄
