This book is PEAK late-90s comics.
You’ve got Michael Turner artwork, Lara Croft at the height of her gaming popularity, Witchblade during Top Cow’s golden era, and that glossy Image-era presentation that immediately screams 1998.
And honestly?
Turner drawing Lara Croft just felt natural.
His art style defined an entire generation of comics. The flowing hair, exaggerated anatomy, soft lighting, and detailed linework became instantly recognizable during the Image/Top Cow boom years.
For a lot of collectors, books like this are pure nostalgia fuel.
Back then, Tomb Raider wasn’t just a successful game franchise — Lara Croft was a global pop culture phenomenon. Comics, magazines, posters, action figures… she was everywhere.
Mixing her with Witchblade was basically a guaranteed hit for 90s collectors.
This particular cover has that softer, almost dreamlike Turner aesthetic too, which makes it stand out compared to the more action-heavy covers from the era.
Definitely one of those books that takes me straight back to the comic shop racks of the late 90s. 🎮⚔️🔥
